Goalpara: The Goalpara district unit of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) took out a rally in the town on Monday afternoon against the attack on the students of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) by unidentified miscreants on Sunday night. People, mostly women, shouted slogans against the attack and demanded justice. They also displayed placards against the CAA and shouted anti-CAA slogans.
Later, while talking to media persons, Nani Das, a leftist leader said, “I strongly condemn the attack in JNU. It is a conspiracy to gag the impartial voice of JNU students.”
