Class 9 and 10 Exam Question Paper Leaked in 3 Schools of Assam's Goalpara

GUWAHATI: In the Goalpara district of Assam, the question papers set for half yearly examination of 9th and 10th standard students were leaked before the start of the exam.

The exam question papers were leaked from three schools of Goalpara namely Vidyapeeth Government High Secondary School, Karbala Higher Secondary School and Prithiram Government Higher Secondary School.

Authorities got informed about the incident while distributing question paper among students as they found that the question paper of the Science subject for 10th standard students has been changed by the Science question paper of 9th standard.

It is shocking that the inspector appointed in the Goalpara School chooses to remain silent on this matter of paper getting leaked before the commencement of the examination. The inspector has not yet given any statement over the incident.

On an important note the headmaster of the Karbala Higher Secondary School, Nurul Islam was absent on the day of the exam because of which the examinations for class 10 have been canceled in the district of Goalpara.

The education department in Goalpara seems to have the least interest in the incident as it is dealing the matter with negligence. These types of incidents of leaking the exam question papers and students associated with such activities must be of greater concern for the school authorities as well as for the education department but in Goalpara the situation is the opposite.

Earlier just a few days ago on Thursday 25 November, a similar incident of exam paper getting leaked was reported from Morigaon district of Assam where the question papers of Social Science and science subjects were allegedly leaked before the exam. A thorough investigation on the matter has been initiated later.
