Cleanliness drive by Kokrajhar administration ahead of Independence Day followed by tree plantation

Kokrajhar: The three-day programme for celebration of Independence Day in Chirang district kicked off on Tuesday morning with a cleanliness drive at Milan Udhyan and its surroundings followed by tree plantation in the premises of District Parade Ground. Essay writing and speech competition on India’s freedom movement among college and school students were organized at Kajalgaon High School as part of the day-long programme.

Chirang Deputy Commissioner Gautam Talukdar, Superintendent of Police Sudhakar Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Karmadev Brahma, district heads of the departments, other officials and SSB personnel were present in the cleanliness drive and plantation of saplings programmes.

On the other hand, the district administration of Kokrajhar also carried out cleanliness drive at Children’s Park ahead of Independence Day. The Deputy Commissioner of Kokrajhar, Partha Pratim Mazumder and Superintendent of Police Rajen Singh joined the cleanliness drive.

JAGIROAD: The Morigaon district administration, in association with the people of Jagiroad , conducted a cleanliness drive at Jagiroad. The cleanliness drive was formally inaugurated by Mayong Revenue Circle Officer Sanghamitra Boruah. The Jagiroad Development Authority, Jagiroad, Deosal and Paliguri Gaon Panchayat, Green Society and Chambers of Commerce, Jagiroad also took part in the drive. The Circle Officer called upon the people to make Jagiroad clean and green for a better and healthy environment.

MORIGAON: Morigaon district administration on Tuesday conducted a cleanliness drive across the town. The cleanliness drive was led by Deputy Commissioner Rituraj Bora. Superintendent of Police Swapnaneel Deka, ADCs Lakhinandan Soharia and Arup Pathak, and Circle Officer Palash Ahom took part in the drive. On the other hand, the CRPF-128 battalion, led by INSP/GD-Sandip Kr. Mishra, conducted Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Maya Bazaar.
