Cleanliness drive held at Mangalbaria

JAMUGURIHAT: A community cleanliness and plantation drive, convened by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, Uttar Naduar Mandal, was held on Saturday at Mangalbaria on the northern part of Jamugurihat. The cleanliness drive was conducted at the Mangalbaria commercial centre in association with the Mangalbaria centre committee. Naduar MLA Padma Hazarika graced the occasion as a chief guest and inaugurated the plantation drive. Addressing the gathering, MLA Hazarika spoke about the need of green mission and made an appeal to all concerned to plant more trees and ensure its growth and survival. MLA Hazarika also announced a grant of Rs 37 lakh for the development of the Mangalbaria playground. The event was attended by Dr Akashdeep Kakaty, Circle Officer of Naduar Revenue Circle, Kishor Dahal, President of Uttar Naduar Mandal BJP, Sabita Karki, President of Mudadol GP, Renuka Devi, ZPC member, among others.
