CM Himanta Biswa Sarma Forwards Different Cause of Tejaswita Baruah's Death
CM Hemanta Biswa Sarma reveals a completely altered version of the Majuli death case, Tejaswita Baruah who dies on the 5th of October 2022

MAJULI : On Tuesday, while attending the Raas Festival in Majuli, CM Himanta Biswa Sharma stated that the Majuli girl, Tejaswita Baruah stopped taking her prescribed medicine, hence she died. The CM furthers shares that according to the reports from the Deputy Commissioner, they have received a completely altered version of the case.
'The parents of the deceased girl stopped giving her the medicines prescribed by professionals' says CM Himanta Biswa Sharma. He also asks the Deputy Commissioner to put forward the report in media and public for a better transparency. The doctors are also feeling insecure regarding their job status, and if they feel any kind of agitation from the public they are likely to leave their jobs.
The reports were confirmed by the Deputy Commissioner, Pulak Mahanta, and he also denied the death due to lack of oxygen.
Tejaswita Baruah, a resident of Doria village of Majuli Kamalabari passed away in Gormur Hospital in Majuli on 5th October 2022. She was a 14 year old young girl who captivated millions of people through her singing and dancing talents.
On the occasion of Srimanta Sankardev's 574th birth anniversary, Tejaswita collapsed while performing on stage. She was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital. The girl was found with continuous irritation and illness when she was admitted in the hospital and was attended by the available doctors. Unfortunately she couldn't survive and passed away right after two hours in the Gormur hospital, Majuli. She died while her treatment was still going on.
Tejaswita studied in Majuli's Ireland Academy and had an underlying disease called 'epilepsy' and was prone to fits, it is now known.
After her death, the parents of the deceased claimed that their daughter lost her life due to the negligence of the hospital authorities. They stated that Tejaswita was not given proper amount of oxygen, hence, died due to lack of oxygen in the hospital. This rumors were seen all over the social media.
