CM Himanta to lay foundation stone for projects worth Rs 12 crore in Dhemaji

LAKHIMPUR: Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma will visit Dhemaji district on December 23. During the visit, the Chief Minister will conduct 'Bhumi Pujan' and lay the foundation stone for the construction, implementation of around 20 developmental projects in the district.

They include the construction of Dhemaji Medical College and Hospital, Integrated Office of Deputy Commissioner, Dhemaji, District Stadium, Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex at Silapothar, construction of Dhakuakhana-Butikor-Telijan Road, Akajan-Likabali-Nilakh Road etc. along with other projects.

District Information and Public Relation Officer (DIPRO) of Dhemaji, Bikash Sarmah informed that the Chief Minister would address a large public rally to be organized at Dhemaji Kachari Maidan on the same day. The rally will also be attended by Health Minister Keshab Mahanta, Dhemaji MLA-cum-Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu, Guardian Minister of Dhemaji Sanjay Kishan, Lakhimpur MP Pradan Baruah and Jonai MLA Bhuban Pegu. Dhemaji district administration has already completed the arrangements to organize the event successfully. Deputy Commissioner of Dhemaji, Asim Kumar Bhattacharya has called upon the people of the district to attend the programme and to make the same successful.
