MANGALDAI: The three-month duration coaching camp to offer guidance to the interested young generation to appear in the UPSC, APSC, SSC and other competitive examinations that was organized by the Darrang district administration and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Mangaldai College, concluded successfully. The coaching camp inaugurated on August 8 concluded on October 29. The IQAC of Mangaldai College organized a valedictory function at Science Gallery on Saturday.

Darrang Deputy Commissioner Pranab Kumar Sarma, taking part in the valedictory function, narrated his experience in appearing the APSC examination way back in 1992. He also interacted with the participants as the resource person and greeted them for taking part in the specially arranged camp.

Taking part in the function as an invited guest, Superintendent of Police Prasanta Saikia advised the participants to get themselves totally prepared for hard work to achieve their goal. Earlier, Principal of Mangaldai College, Dr Kamala Kanta Borah in his welcome speech, extended his gratitude to the district administration for all cooperation in successfully organizing the camp. Deputy Secretary of the CM's Secretariat, Bistirna Baruah took part in the valedictory function as a resource person and interacted with the participating students.

Coordinator of the Coaching Camp, Rupa Rani Bhuyan and media person Bhargab Kumar Das also addressed the function with their motivational speech. A total number of 110 participants had enrolled their names in the coaching camp organized for the first time in the Darrang district.

Officials from Assam Civil Service and Assam Land Revenue Service, namely Circle Officer of Mangaldai Nayan Jyoti Pathak, Circle Officer (Attached) Debangan Sarma and Circle Officer of Sipajhar Kamaljeet Sarma took part in the camp as resource persons.
