Collection of poems "Mon Xagoror Dubori Bon" released in Tezpur

Tezpur: A book of poems titled "Mon Xagoror Dubori Bon", containing 144 pages written by Nitibrata Barua, daughter of Assamese poet, lyricist, patriotic and the leading freedom fighter, Ambikagiri Raichoudhury was published by Moloi Jibon Barua in association with Jiban Rekha Vrddhi Foundation and was formally released on Saturday at a solemn function held in the Tezpur Asomiya Club premises.

The book dedicated to Ambikagiri Raichoudhury and her mother Koushlya Devi Raichoudhury contains 111 poems. Purneswar Nath, retired professor and former president of Tezpur Xahitya Xabha released the book in a function presided over by Dr Satyajit Bora. While Bhupendra Nath Hazarika attended the function as the special guest

The function was arranged by Dr Rup Barua and Dr Dipti Rekha Barua. A few poems of the poet were recited by Aparajita Dutta and Yugabrata Dutta. Releasing the book formally, Retired Professor of Darrang College, Purneswar Nath said that the poems are based on some emotions, affection, voices which had been suppressed for too long. He also said the poems reflected the humanistic concern of the poet towards the various phases of our society.
