LAKHIMPUR: Pecuniary difficulties or the struggles of life cannot stop the creativity of those who are determined and enthusiastic. This has been proved by poet Brahmanah Medak who hailed from the Dhakuakhana subdivision of Lakhimpur district and was a blacksmith by profession but he published a collection of poetry.

The collection of poems, titled Jiai Thoka Eti Kshyan was released in a ceremonial program held at United Degree College at Sariyoni under the Dhakuakhana subdivision on Friday. Noted academician and litterateur Amiyo Kumar Hundique formally released the book in the program which commenced with United Degree College Principal Dr. Bineswar Patir in the chair. The 34 poems incorporated in the book are clear reflections of the struggles of the poet. The poems were compiled by social activist Krishna Kanta Medak.

Releasing the book, Amiyo Kumar Hundique made a critical appreciation of the published poems while Dr. Bineswar Patir hoped that the book would become popular among the readers. In the program, poets like Deubor Narah, Dushyanta Narah, Obonori Banke Kebang secretary Rajkumar Chinte, and many other dignitaries were also present.
