Combine harvester machinery distributed under CMSGUY in Chirang district

GUWAHATI: IIE Guwahati, an autonomous organization under the Union Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship as a CBBO (Cluster Based Business Organizations) for the Central Sector Scheme- Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) under the Union Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare, has formed two Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) in the Chirang district - Patabari Malivita Agro Farmers Producer Company Ltd, Sidli Block, and Bijit Narayan Farmer Producer Company Ltd, Borobazar Block.
On November 3 last, both these FPCs received the combine harvester machinery with 90 per cent government subsidy under the Chief Minister's Samagra Gramya Unnayan Yojana (CMSGUY), which was organized by the Department of Agriculture, Chirang district at Pub Khamarpara village of Borobazar Block, stated a press release.
It may be mentioned that CMSGUY is a scheme announced by the Assam Government for the development of the villages in the state. The scheme is aimed at bringing the revolutionary changes in the villages of the State by doubling the farm income. The CMSGUY scheme is a convergence with the Central Sector scheme to strengthen the FPO movement in the Chirang district.
Ajay Kumar Roy, MLA of Bijni LAC, Mousam Pratim Nath, District Election Officer, Bijni, Benudhar Barman, DAO, Chirang, Ala Ram Deuri, DDM-NABARD, officials of Government line departments, Nalinakshya Chamuah, Project Lead, IIE, Hari Boro, Consultant, SFAC, BoDs of both the FPCs and 150 farmers of Borobazar Block were present at the distribution ceremony.
