Combined Annual Training Camp conducted at Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: Combined Annual Training Camp of 12 Assam Independent Company located at Golaghat was conducted at the NCC Academy, Jorhat from February 12 to February 21. As per Colonel Kapil Bakhshi, Camp Commandant, the camp, apart from the instructional staff, had a cadet strength of 400 boys and girls hailing from the districts of Golaghat, East Karbi Anglong, Jorhat and Majuli. Brigadier AK Borah, Bishisht Sewa Mandal, group commander of NCC Headquarters Jorhat, in his address to the cadets on February 14, gave the cadets an insight into the magnificent and adventurous life that an individual could lead in the Indian Armed Forces and told them that they would be able to feel it first hand in the 10-day camp when they would get exposed to drill, weapon training, map reading, fieldcraft, health, and hygiene.
