Commissioner of North Assam Division Dr. M Angamuthu Visits Biswanath District, Assam

Biswanath Chariali: Dr. M Angamuthu, the Commissioner of the North Assam Division, visited Biswanath district on Wednesday to review the law-and-order scenario of the district. He held a meeting with district and police administration of Biswanath on the post-NRC draft publication scenario at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Biswanath.

Deputy Commissioner Dheeraj Jyoti Kalia, Superintendent of Police Diganta Kumar Choudhury and other senior officials were present in that meeting.

Later, he visited the Gohpur subdivision and held a similar meeting with the officials. Apart from NRC, he also took stock of the flood situation of Gohpur from the ADC & i/c SDO of Gohpur, Dr. Indranoshee Das. On the other hand, a community-level meeting was organized on Wednesday at 3 No. Kumolia village of Biswanath district. The matters related to post-draft publication of complete NRC were discussed there. The Deputy Commissioner of Biswanath along with SP, Biswanath and ADC, Biswanath attended the meeting. The overall situation in the district is quite peaceful.
