BISWANATH, CHARIALI: The members of the Committee on Public Accounts, Assam Legislative Assembly visited Biswanath as part of their study tour on Thursday. The delegation of Public Accounts Committee was led by Wazed Ali Choudhury, MLA of South Salmara LAC. The members inspected many ongoing welfare programmes and schemes across the district.
The study tour concluded with a meeting held at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Biswanath. The members interacted with the heads of different departments and enquired about the progress of schemes and programmes. The meeting was attended by Munindra Nath Ngatey, Deputy Commissioner Biswanath, Liza Talukdar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development), Dipan Barman, Additional Deputy Commissioner and i/c SDO (Civil), Gohpur and other officials.
