DHUBRI: A community hall constructed at the cost of Rs 10 lakh under Assam Darshan 2019-20 in Chapor Tea Estate of Dhubri district was formally inaugurated by former legislator and Chairman of Assam State Marketing Corporation, Ashok Kumar Singhi recently. Infrastructure of GL Church near the guest house in Chapor Tea Estate was also improved with the same find.

Speaking in the meeting, Singhi said that during the last five years, he being a legislator of Bilasipara (East), did a lot of development works in the three tea estates and all other development works left to be done would continue in the same pace and speed in the years to come.

Addressing the meeting, Dhubri Deputy Commissioner, Anbamathun MP also stressed the development works in the three tea estates and resented the fact that garden management were creating hurdles in acquiring land required for construction of high school in the garden area. But the construction of the high school would be carried out on the same land selected by district administration, he said.
