Complete sanitization programme begins in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: Battling with the deadly and pandemic coronavirus, complete sanitization programme jointly by Kokrajhar Municipal Board (KMB) and Assam Fire and Emergency Services, Kokrajhar started from Thursday in Kokrajhar town.

As part of the sanitization programme, the KMB and personnel from Assam Fire and Emergency on Thursday started spraying of bleaching powder in the town to prevent spread of the deadly virus. Two vehicles from the fire services were pressed into service in Kokrajhar.

Talking to reporters, the chairman of KMB, Bishnu Narzary said the complete sanitization programme had been started in Kokrajhar town in association with the Assam Fire and Emergency Services, Kokrajhar to contain the dreaded coronavirus. He said the spraying of bleaching powder would be done in every ward in a phased manner. He called upon all citizens to cooperate with the personnel of Assam Fire and Emergency Services in the complete sanitization programme. He also called upon citizens to follow guidelines and to stay safe at home.
