GORESWAR: The 2nd central conference of All Barman Kachari Students' Union (ABKSU) will be held at the Aubari playground with a three-day long colourful programme from December 28 in Baksa district.
As per the programme, on December 28, following the inauguration of the main gate by Sujit Baglary, SDO (civil) of Tamulpur subdivision, the Shivasaran Barman Memorial pandal will be inaugurated by Nerson Boro, Deputy Speaker of BTC. Heramba Goswami, O/C of Goreswar police station, will inaugurate the main stage while the martyr Binoy Chandra Barman memorial guest house will be inaugurated by Dipak Sarma, I/C Suagpur police outpost.
Mantu Barman, working president of the reception committee, will inaugurate the Manindra Barman memorial dining gate and Kamal Upreti will inaugurate the delegate hall while Dipankar Saraniya will inaugurate the delegate session hall.
On December 29, following the flag hoisting of ABKSU by president Matilal Barman, Dinabandhu Barman will pay floral tribute to the departed souls and sapling plantation will be done by several dignitaries. Dhirendra Barman, president of Barman Kachari Sahitya Sabha, will release the souvenir Furungi. A seminar on the past and present status of Barman Kacharis will be held in this connection. A melodious cultural night will be inaugurated by Ramen Boro, headmaster of Bhulajhar-Bangalipara high school in the evening.
