DUDHNOI: Former minister Pronay Rabha resigned from the Congress after leveling explosive allegations against the party. The former minister alleged that Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora and leader Rakibul Hussain had given tickets to candidates in exchange for money in the elections. The Congress party has been only duping nearly 18 lakh people of the Rabha community in the State for years. Rabha candidate was not given party ticket despite chances of winning.

The former minister alleged that four Rabha community members had asked for tickets from the Congress party at Dudhnoi but the party fielded a candidate of another community following transaction of a big amount of money. The former minister said that 4,000 to 5,000 Congress party workers from Dudhnoi constituency would leave the party in the next two days.
