Congress worker allegedly attacked by miscreants in Demow

DEMOW: Sensation prevailed in Demow on Sunday night when a Congress worker was allegedly attacked by miscreants. According to sources, Anupam Handique, secretary of Nemuguri Mandal Congress, was allegedly attacked by a group of miscreants on Sunday night and in the attack, his hand was broken. Anupam Handique told media persons that when he was going to Demow Chariali from the residence of Thowra Congress candidate Sushanta Borgohain, a group of 20 BJP workers attacked him, broke one of his hands and his mobile phone. Thowra Congress candidate Sushanta Borgohain has slammed the incident. Anupam Handique was admitted in Demow Model Hospital on Sunday night. He has lodged an FIR in Demow Police Station.
