Containment Zone orders withdrawn from 2 areas in Guwahati

Guwahati: Two containment zone areas in Guwahati city of Assam have been untagged by the Kamrup (Metro) district administration on Tuesday 7 July after no new cases were detected in the past few days.

The areas that have been unsealed are:

 Lokhra State Dispensary

Syndicate Arcade, Tripura Road, Jayanagar

The residents of the areas are instructed to follow the protocols to prevent any further spread of the pandemic disease. It is to be noted that Containment Zone area marked in Pragjyotish Complex of Ghoramara, Guwahati Guwahati is the worst coronavirus-affected city in Assam, and a complete lockdown has been imposed in the district for 14 days since June 28.

However, the Assam government announced certain relaxations during the ongoing lockdown in Kamrup (Metro) district, under which Guwahati city falls, from July 5 to 12.
