Corona-recovered warrior donates Rs 10,000 to Assam Arogya Nidhi

MANGALDAI: A COVID-19 positive person of Mangaldai, on being satisfied with the hospitality and treatment provided at the initiative of the district administration of Darrang, has donated an amount of Rs 10,000 to Assam Arogya Nidhi through Deputy Commissioner Dilip Kumar Borah on Monday.

Satya Narayan Saha (55), an inhabitant of Mangaldai town, tested COVID-19 positive 28 days back. As per COVID-19 protocol, initially he was admitted in the COVID Hospital at Mangaldai Civil Hospital and later was shifted to Tezpur Medical College and Hospital for treatment. As he recovered, he was discharged from the hospital.

Satya Narayan Saha decided to express his satisfaction at the hospitality and treatment provided to him in a unique way. On Monday, he came to the office of the Deputy Commissioner and handed over a cheque amounting to Rs 10,000 in favour of Assam Arogya Nidhi fund to Deputy Commissioner Dilip Kumar Borah.

The Deputy Commissioner, while talking to The Sentinel, highly appreciated the spirit of Satya Narayan Saha and said that his benevolence would surely be an inspiration and encouragement to all the frontline COVID-19 warriors.
