Cough syrup bottles seized; two arrested in Morigaon

MORIGAON: Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Superintendent of Police Dr Nandan Shing Borkula launched an operation on Monday and seized 11,202 intoxicated drugs and cough syrup bottles worth around Rs 5 lakh to Rs 6 lakh. The police team seized the intoxicated drugs from the garage of Mubasir Ikbal Bahar, Tukunabori, Jaluguti. Besides, the police team also recovered two cars bearing numbers AS 02 W-4675 and AS 01 BJ-6162 and a bike with no number plate. The arrested persons are Sajidur Rahman (32) of Telahi and Umer Ali (36) of Milanpur.
