COVID- 19: AJYP seeks ban on Chinese commodities in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: With a view to preventing the infection of Novel coronavirus in Lakhimpur district, the North Lakhimpur regional unit of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Parishad (AJYP) on Monday submitted a memorandum to Lakhimpur Deputy Commissioner Dr. Jeevan B. demanding a ban on the marketing of Chinese commodities in the district.

Further, North Lakhimpur unit AJYP president Manoj Kalita and secretary in-charge Tilak Das appealed to the Lakhimpur people not to buy any Chinese products along with the colorful powders used in Falgutsav and allied things made in China. In this regard, the organization demanded awareness initiatives to be implemented by the district administration among the common masses in the district. In addition, stringent action was also demanded against traders of such commodities in order to prevent the outbreak of this disease.
