COVID-19: Donation to Chief Minister's Relief Fund

DOOMDOOMA: In response to the Chief Minister's appeal to donate generously to cope with the current COVID pandemic, the Principals of six Government Model Colleges established in 2020 had a virtual meeting on Thursday and a resolution was adopted to that effect.

Upon delivering the resolutions of the meeting to the teachers of the respective government model colleges, it was resolved unanimously to donate the one day's salary of the Principals as well as of the teachers of the respective government model colleges to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. It further resolved to donate in future also in the case of such eventuality. This was stated by coordinator (temporary) Dr Amarjit Saikia, Principal, Vir Raghav Moran Government Model College, Doomdooma.

The six model colleges are Vir Raghav Moran College, Doomdooma; Padma Nath Gohain Baruah Government Model College, Kakapather; Kaziranga Government Model College, Kaziranga; Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay Government Model College, Daithor, Karbi Anglong; Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay Government Model College, Katlichera; Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay Government Model College, Barkhola.
