COVID-19 fatality case in Kokrajhar; total tally reached 1,107

KOKRAJHAR: A 68-year old man from Shantinagar ward no. 2 passed away due to COVID-19 on Monday night. He was referred to the Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital in Barpeta from RN Brahma Civil Hospital on August 16 but he passed away on Monday.

On August 15, Tarun Brahma (55) of Kokrajhari village, ward no. 10, also died due to COVID-19. He was admitted at the RN Brahma Civil Hospital. The total number of COVID positive cases in Kokrajhar has reached 1,107 with 30 new cases detected in the last 24 hours.

As many as 775 patients have been discharged after recovery so far. The number of active cases in Kokrajhar is 262 while 39 patients have been referred to other hospitals.
