COVID-19: Main roads of Dhubri town sanitized

DHUBRI: In view of growing COVID-19 positive cases in the district, Dhubri Town Committee of Seemanta Chetana Mancha Purvottar sanitized the entire market of Dhubri town on Sunday.

President and secretary of Dhubri Chambers of Commerce, Santosh Harlalka and Rajnarayan Saha respectively, took part in the sanitization programme. State Seva Pramukh of Seemanta Chetana Manch Purbottar, Debasish Dutta was also present.

Dhubri district unit publicity secretary of Seemanta Chetana Mancha Purvottar, Dipankar Mazumdar said that in view of the growing COVID-19 positive cases among returnees to the district, the Manch decided to go for thorough sanitization of the main roads of Dhubri town.

"It is a matter of serious concern that people while out in the streets or shopping are not following social distancing norms. On Sunday, police picked up 10 shop owners for breaking social distancing norms," Mazumdar added.
