COVID-19: Several offices in Barpeta declared as containment zones

BARPETA: The Deputy Commissioner of Barpeta, Munindra Sarma declared some of the offices as containment zone. Having seen the community transmission of coronavirus in the district, the Deputy Commissioner declared this prohibitory order.

On Friday, in Barpeta Revenue Circle office three employees had tested positive. Again in Barnagar Revenue Circle office, two people had tested positive. So, in order to break the chain of transmission and in the interest of public health, the Deputy Commissioner declared both the Circle Offices as containment zone and had them sealed. Again, one assistant engineer of Barpeta development block has tested positive. So, Barpeta Development Block office was also sealed and declared as containment zone. This order will remain until further order.
