COVID positive cases slightly declining in Kokrajhar district

KOKRAJHAR: The COVID-19 positive cases have slightly declined in Kokrajhar district since the last three days as movement of inter-State vehicles has stopped from neighboring State West Bengal after imposition of lockdown.

On May 15, the district witnessed 68 positive cases against 75 and 87 respectively in RAT while it was over 90 in the past several days. The district had 426, 352 and 338 active cases in the last three days while fatality figure is 55 with one more death on Monday.

In Chirang district, 35 persons were detected positive on Monday with 286 active cases and 273 people under home isolation. The district has three fatalities since March and 17 since the first wave of the pandemic.
