‘Cultural moves were real steps in strengthening brotherhood’ - Hitendra Nath Goswami

Joysagar: “Various cultural moves were the real steps in strengthening brotherhood and unity among the people of the world,” said Hitendra Nath Goswami, Assam Assembly Speaker, while addressing the gathering in the Sivasagar Boarding Field on the occasion of Asom Sanskritik Mahasabha’s award function. Dr. Pitambar Dev Goswami of Auniati Xatra, journalist Utpal Baruah, Xatradhikar Reba Kanta Mahanta, Shankar Das, M Singha and many other dignitaries were also present in the function. Altogether 111 eminent personalities were formally conferred the 2018 special achievement awards by the Sanskritik Mahasabha in Sivasagar. A bhaona was also staged which was performed by the women of the Dikhawmukh Tejaswani Cultural Group. In the morning, a colorful cultural procession was taken out across the historic town reflecting multi-cultural heritage of the north-east region, cultural diversity and brotherhood.
