Daily express special train between Guwahati and Mariani on the cards

 Restoration of Guwahati-Dekargaon daily and Alipurduar junction-Silghat Town tri-weekly express special trains; Agartala-Sabroom daily DEMU train service resumed

GUWAHATI: The NFR (Northeast Frontier Railway) has decided to restore the services of some short distance special trains from this month for the benefit of local rail commuters. It has also decided to run one pair daily express special train between Guwahati and Mariani. It has also been decided to restore the services of the Guwahati-Dekargaon daily and the Alipurduar-Silghat Town tri-weekly express special trains.

Moreover, services of daily DEMU passenger train between Agartala and Sabroom has already been resumed.

Among these special trains are :-

 Train No. 05665 Guwahati-Mariani express special will run daily with effect from August 20, 2021 leaving from Guwahati at 14:30 hours to reach Mariani at 23:15 hours. In the return direction, Train No. 05666 Mariani-Guwahati express special will run daily with effect from August 21, 2021 leaving from Mariani at 04:50 hours to reach Guwahati at 14-50 hours.

 Train No. 05816/05815 Dekargaon-Guwahati-Dekargaon express will run daily from August 23, leaving from Dekargaon at 05:15 hours to reach Guwahati at 10:20 hours and leaving from Guwahati at 16:15 hours to reach Dekargaon at 22:00 hours on the same day.

 Train No. 05417 Alipurduar junction – Silghat Town tri-weekly express will restore w.e.f. 24-08-2021 leaving from Alipurduar junction three days a week – on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at 17-00 hours to reach Silghat Town at 09-00 hours on next day. In return direction, Train No. 05418 Silghat Town – Alipurduar junction tri-weekly express will restore w.e.f. 25-08-2021 leaving from Silghat Town three days a week – on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 17-40 hours to reach Alipurduar junction at 07-45 hours on next day.

 Train No. 07684/07683 Agartala – Sabroom daily DEMU passenger service leaving from Agartala at 10-50 hours to reach Sabroom at 13:20 hours and leaving from Sabroom at 13:45 hours to reach Agartala at 16:15 hours has been resumed from August 6, 2021.

The details of stoppages and timings of these trains are available in Railway's website and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of N.F. Railway. Passengers are requested to see these details before undertaking their journey.

It may kindly be noted that, on arrival at their destination, the passengers will have to adhere to prevailing health protocols of the destination State. All passengers are requested to co-operate with the railway and respective State government officials in this regard.
