MANGALDAI: The Darrang district administration has fixed November 7 and November 8 as the dates for hearing or recording of testimony or statements by persons/organisations on the September 23 incident during an eviction drive last month at Dhalpur under Sipajhar revenue circle in Darrang district resulting in the death of two persons, and for which Deputy Magistrate Prabhati Thaosen had ordered a magisterial inquiry on the day of the incident itself.
As per an official order released by the office of the District Magistrate, eyewitnesses/interested persons have been requested to testify or record their statement on the incident in front of District Development Commissioner Subhalakshmi Deka at the conference hall of the Block Development Office under Sipajhar development block on the above-mentioned dates between 10:30am and 2:30pm.
