Darrang Police arrested one drug peddler with 12 grams of heroin

MANGALDAI: Team Darrang Police, in their continuing intensified operation against drug peddlers, on Thursday seized 12 grams of heroin and arrested one drug peddler in this connection.

As per the instruction of Darrang Superintendent of Police Er Sushanta Biswa Sarma, ASI Nipan Baruah, in-charge of Panbari Police Outpost under Dhula Police Station, conducted a raid at the residence of Nizam Ali, son of Ajijur Rahman of village Kawadanga under Dhula Police Station, and recovered the drugs. The accused has been booked under the provision of NDPS Act.
