MANGALDAI: Darrang District Police had been extended a helping hand to agri entrepreneurs of the district in selling their green vegetables during the lockdown period. Reflecting their commitment to the people of the district, particularly to the farmers, on August 24, Superintendent of Police Amrit Bhuyan offered a financial assistance amounting to Rs 10,000 to ideal agri entrepreneur Nabab Ali of village Singimari near Khandajan in Sipajhar area as a mark of encouragement and inspiration to start his strawberry cultivation.

State award for best farmer recipient Dhruba Jyoti Saikia was also present. Seuji Asom, an organization for the welfare of the agriculture farmers, has highly appreciated the benevolence of Superintendent of Police Amrit Bhuyan and termed it as a very inspiring and encouraging initiative for the marginal farmers of the district.
