Darrang Rejoices at Improved Performance in HSLC Examination, 2023

MANGALDAI: The aspirational district of Darrang has found the reason to cheer over the results of the HSLC examination, 2023 declared on Monday with much improved overall show in compared to the previous year. The district has recorded a total pass percentage of 79.08%, an increase of ten percent to that of 2022 ( 69.07%) . With this improved performance the district bagged the seventh position among the lists of successful districts of the State. Out of the total 12,907 students who had appeared in this year’s exam, 3,894 passed in first division, 4,691 in second and 1,622 in third division. Among the successful candidates two girls, Nilufer Rahman and Nashad Farha have bagged the 3rd and 9th ranks respectively in the State. Nilufer , a resident of Singimari under Sipajhar Revenue Circle had appeared from Dumunichowki English School while Nashad had come out with flying colours from Dalgaon Anchalik Jatiya Vidyalaya. Both the students are willing to pursue their studies in science stream. Nilufer has the desire to become a medical practitioner while Nashad has her ambition to appear in the civil service.
