DC Babulal Sarma Issues Strict Order Against Violation of ‘No Helmet, No Petrol’ Rule

Bongaigaon: The Bongaigaon Deputy Commissioner Babulal Sarma, taking cognizance of the news published in The Sentinel recently, has ordered to take stern action against violation of the ‘No helmet, no petrol’ rule in Bongaigaon. The ‘No helmet, no petrol’ rule was imposed by Bongaigaon district administration few months ago. But a couple of months after implementation of this rule, the rule was violated by few petrol pumps of Bongaigaon town. This news was published by The Sentinel on 31.12.2018.

On Tuesday, Deputy Commissioner Babulal Sarma had ordered to take stern action against violation of such rule. In his office order he mentioned that violation of this order might lead to prosecution under section 188 IPC. Violation of this order by any petrol pump would mean disregard and disobedience to the order of the licencing authority and would make them liable for suspension or cancellation of license. He also mentioned that any person could complain to the authority if he saw violation of the rule anywhere in the district.
