Death anniversary of educationist Apurba Kumar Borgohain observed in Golaghat

GOLAGHAT: The second death anniversary of Apurba Kumar Borgohain, a well known educationist, engineer, social activist and director of Sri Satya Sai Vidya Vihar School in Golaghat, was observed on Sunday. Sri Satya Sai Vidya Vihar School and Sri Satya Sai Sewa Samiti Golaghat jointly organized several programmes to mark the occasion. The programme was started in the morning with the ceremonial lamp being lit in the cremation site of late Apurba Kumar Borgohain. Chairman of Satya Sai Vidya Vihar Managing Committee Dr Giridhar Phukan was present on the occasion. Later, a cleanliness drive was conducted. In the evening Bhajan and tribute ceremony were organized where students, teachers and well wishers of late Apurba Kumar Borgohain paid tributes to the departed soul. Principal Subhashish Rajkhowa, Vice Principal Suvrat Kar, Bipul Rajkumar, Chandra Kanta Baruah, and Biren Kakoty along with several other local people were present in the programme.
