TANGLA: A deer which strayed out of Bornadi Wildlife Sanctuary was rescued by villagers at 2 No. Borengajuli village near Dimakuchi in Udalguri on Thursday. The deer was found by villagers who informed the Forest Department. "According to the villagers, the rescued fawn strayed out of the forest in search of food. We will rehabilitate it soon as it has no injuries," said a forest official. Bornadi Wildlife Sanctuary in the foothills of the Himalayas covering an area of 26.22 square km in Udalguri is famed for pygmy hog and Hispid Hare.
