Defamatory propaganda against Lakhimpur Manab Adhikar Sangram Samiti alleged

LAKHIMPUR: Alleging defamatory propaganda against Manab Adhikar Sangram Samiti (MASS) and its Lakhimpur unit secretary through Facebook by one Nekib Hussain, the Secretary concerned, Raju Singha lodged an FIR against the person at North Lakhimpur Police Station on Saturday.

In the FIR, the Lakhimpur unit MASS secretary stated that a person who resides at Moidamia Gaon in North Lakhimpur town, uploaded some posts with defamatory propaganda in his Facebook account URL:

ttps://www.facebook.com/nekib.hussain.92 against the organization and him between 10.40 pm to 11.30 pm on Friday night with a view to disrupt communal harmony in the district. He alleged in the same FIR that the person was a relative of a teer agent.

He further alleged in the FIR that both the teer agent and the person concerned had hatched a conspiracy following the submission of a memorandum by the joint venture of MASS, AAMSU and Sadou Asom Hindu Yuva Parishad demanding control on unabated gambling, smuggling of fake gold, fake currency and drugs.
