Demand to include Sadiya under Dibrugarh constituency
As the delimitation work of constituencies will start soon, the people of Sadiya (126 LAC) have demanded inclusion of Sadiya under 13 Dibrugarh Lok Sabha Constituency.

TINSUKIA: As the delimitation work of constituencies will start soon, the people of Sadiya (126 LAC) have demanded inclusion of Sadiya under 13 Dibrugarh Lok Sabha Constituency.
Presently, Sadiya is under 14 Lakhimpur LS as it was geographically isolated by the River Brahmaputra and had a communication bottleneck. But after the construction of the Dr Bhupen Hazarika Setu (Dholla-Sadiya bridge), a direct link with Tinsukia district headquarter was facilitated. While preparation is afoot to merge Doomdooma and Chabua LACs under 13 Dibrugarh LS and delinking these two from 14 Lakhimpur LS, Sadiya BJP president Judhisthir Gogoi demanded inclusion of 126 Sadiya LAC under 13 Dibrugarh LS constituency to create a new political map in conjunction with other LACs of Assam.
