DOOMDOOMA: The Election Observer for election to two constituencies of Deori Autonomous Council (DAC) of Sadiya, Manoj Kumar Baruah, District Development Commissioner (DDC), Lakhimpur district, paid a visit to Sadiya and held an important meeting at the conference hall of Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) at Chapakhowa, the headquarter town of Sadiya subdivision, on Wednesday.

DAC has two constituencies at Sadiya - No.1 Sadiya and No. 2 Kundil - which are going to polls on November 8. Observer Baruah explained the code of conduct and the rules and regulations imposed by the State Election Commission (EC) to be observed by the candidates, besides strictly adhering to the limit of the election expenses, in the meeting which was attended by SDO in-charge and District Election Officer, ADC Anupam Deka, Returning Officers Madhurya Buragohain and Sajib Das, the officials and staff of the election department and the candidates of the two constituencies of the DAC of Sadiya subdivision. Observer Baruah further appealed to all for holding free and fair poll in a peaceful and orderly manner.
