Deplorable condition of PWD road connecting Bokial to Purabangla

GOLAGHAT: The PWD road connecting Bokial to Purabangla road is playing a vital role for the greater region of Bokial. But this important road has become deplorable. Even an ambulance cannot pass through this road due to its dilapidated condition.

In this regard, several times the local people approached the authority concerned but in vain. The local people alleged that due to plying of heavy vehicles like sand, stone and gravel carrying trucks and dumpers on this road, it had become dilapidated. But the State Government as well as the PWD have shown no interest to repair the road, they further alleged. Due to the deplorable condition of the Bokial to Purabangla PWD road, the people of the villages like Hautoly, Bokial Bagan, Buragohainkhat, Kalioni, Nahorchola, Narayanpur, Govinpur and Jeckson are facing various problems while travelling through this road, especially students and patients. The road is full of potholes. Due to the pathetic condition of the road, many minor road accidents have taken place. Local people have urged the authority and department concerned to take immediate steps to repair this road.
