Deputy Commissioner issued order on functioning of shops in Golaghat town

GOLAGHAT: Assam Chambers of Commerce Golaghat Branch and United Chamber of Commerce Golaghat officials met the Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat, Bibhas Chandra Modi on Thursday.

Proposals were given by both the organizations regarding time of functioning of shops and business establishments in Golaghat town. As per the proposal of the United Chamber of Commerce Golaghat and Assam Chambers of Commerce Golaghat branch, the district administration has ordered that all shops and business establishments of Golaghat will function from 9 AM to 6 PM from Monday to Saturday. On Sunday, all shops and business establishments, except medical stores, will remain closed.

All have been asked to follow the order which will be applicable from Friday onwards. Also, every Sunday the entire market area will be sanitized by the administration. President of United Chamber of Commerce, Syed Imam Hussain, vice-president of Assam Chambers of Commerce Golaghat, Manoj Jain were present in the meeting, besides other dignitaries.
