Devastating fire in Golaghat
Golaghat: In a devastating fire that broke out at Dhubi Chariali in Bengenakhowa on Thursday night, altogether 15 business establishments and residential houses were completely gutted to ashes.
As per report, on Thursday night about 1 AM, fire broke out in a furniture shop and immediately spread to other houses. All important materials and valuable properties were gutted into ashes. The local people informed the emergency fire service. Fire brigade tanker arrived at the spot but there was not sufficient water in the tanker. As a result, the public slammed the fire services for such negligence in a crucial situation. Later, two fire tankers from Dergaon and NRL arrived and brought the situation under control. The cause of the fire has not been ascertained.
