Dhekiajuli unit All Assam Student Union staged a 10-hour hunger strike

DHEKIAJULI: The Dhekiajuli unit AASU staged a 10-hour hunger strike against the government’s decision to teach Mathematics and Science in English medium from Class VI onwards in government schools.

The hunger strike started at 6 am on Wednesday in Dhekiajuli town. AASU Sonitpur district education secretary Shanksr Das said that the State Government must stop such an anti-mother tongue attitude immediately or their agitation would continue.
