Dhubri-Guwahati AC bus introduced

DHUBRI: Chairman of Assam State Transport Corporation, Mission Ranjan Das formally introduced Dhubri-Guwahati AC bus at Dhubri ASTC bus stand here. Addressing the gathering in a simple function held in ASTC premises, Das said that this Dhubri-Guwahati bus was a long pending demand of the people and with the introduction of this service that demand was fulfilled.

Das also announced to introduce a bus from Dhubri to Rupsi Airport which would also ply up to Gossaigaon soon. Further, he assured to take steps to evict the encroachers from ASTC bus stand Gauripur and restart the bus stand there.

"I have come to know that an amount of Rs. 27 lakh rent of PHE office in the building of ASTC remained outstanding, and this amount of money will be released soon. With this amount necessary works of Dhubri ASTC bus stand will be done," Das added. Das also said that many more plans of ASTC are in the pipeline and soon changes in road transportation will be seen. The meeting was addressed by Dhubri District BJP President, Debamoy Sanyal, former legislator of Gauripur, Bonendra Kumar Mushahary and others.
