Dhubri police arrested one with arms and drugs

DHUBRI: Dhubri police, acting on a tip-off, raided a restaurant near Hari Sabha of Dhubri town and arrested one who was identified as Baseruddin Khan on Sunday. Police recovered one .22 pistol along with two magazines and also 550 R7 tablets, 5 containers suspected to be heroin, one vivo mobile handset and one pulser 150 motorcycle from his possession.

Police sources said that Khan hailed from Majerchar Part I village under Dhubri Police Station of Dhubri district and he is suspected to be a drug and arms peddler. Khan is being interrogated by police and intelligence agencies to ascertain his real motive behind possessing arms and ammunition.
