SP Anand Mishra on Farewell Speech: It was an overwhelming moment for the outgoing SP of Dhubri district of Assam, Anand Mishra. Locals turned up in large numbers to bid him farewell. From children to youth to senior citizens, people came out in large numbers to express their gratitude to the IPS officer who had served them as their SP. Many said thank you to the police officer by garlanding him with the traditional Assamese gamosa, many requested him for his autograph. One gentleman wanted SP Mishra's autograph on his helmet. Some brought gifts like pens and idols of Gods and Goddess as a gesture of their appreciation of the work that SP Mishra and his team was doing for them.
SP Mishra thanked all the people for their love and cooperation and said that all the love and appreciation being shown to him was for the service that every police officer delivers. "I am getting all this love and respect and appreciation for the police uniform and the duty that every police officer does. I am just another humble police officer. I do not need so much focus as an individual. I am sure you will give the same love and support to my successor," SP Mishra said as he was surrounded by his 'fans', well-wishers and the people of Dhubri who were grief-stricken at his transfer. People of Dhubri loved him as he was always there for him and listened and cared for every issue or complaint they had. The proof of this can be seen in videos that have gone viral of people turning up in large numbers to thank him.
SP Anand Mishra said, "Dhubri will always be there in my heart, and all the memories and good times will always remain in my heart. Stay safe everyone."
