Dibrugarh based NGO to organize ‘Clean Dibrugarh Campaign’

Dibrugarh: With a view to making Dibrugarh town a clean and green place, an NGO named ‘Smile Dibrugarh’ will organize a competition named ‘Clean Dibrugarh Campaign’ among the 22 municipal wards. This was announced on Friday at a meeting held at Bashbari under Ward number 13. The competition will be organized with assistance from Dibrugarh Administration and Dibrugarh Municipality.

Scheduled to start from December 1 till January 31, 2020, the Clean Dibrugarh Campaign competition will evaluate the wards on the basis of two broad parameters – cleanliness and existing greenery. One of the awards will be given solely on the basis of cleanliness, while three other wards will be awarded based on both the parameters. The inaugural meeting of the competition was attended by many including ADC, Ranjit Konwar; Executive Engineer, Dibrugarh Public Health Engineering, Bhaskarjyoti Sharma; ward commissioners, namely, Ranjit Chetia, Saikat Patra, Sudama Pandey and president of Smile Dibrugarh, Bajrang Todi.
