Dibrugarh DC Pallav Gopal Jha orders probe into allegations against Aditya Hospital

Dibrugarh: DC, Pallav Gopal Jha directed ADC (Health), Partha Pratim Bairagi to conduct enquiry into allegations of misconduct of patients at Aditya Hospital, Dibrugarh after receiving a complaint against Aditya Hospital through email. The complainant has alleged that on first enquiring about the cost for gallbladder laproscopic surgery, one Singh, Manager of the hospital informed him that the cost of the surgery would be around Rupees 22,000 (on package basis). The authority also informed that the cost will be less if a certain Dr. Bhuyan performed the surgery. According to complainant, on the day of discharge, the hospital authority charged him Rupees 8000 more than the fixed amount of the package. And the bill given by the hospital authority to the patient was against the package norm according to the complainant, where OT cost, doctor charge, room cost were added separately.
