Dibrugarh Ladies Club organized cooking competition at Gymkhana Club

DIBRUGARH: The Dibrugarh Ladies Club organised a cooking competition at Gymkhana Club on Friday. The competition was open to both the members of the club and outsiders. A total of 96 entries were received. There were six categories namely, Mango Pickle, Mango Sweets, Mocktails, Wraps & Rolls, Salad and Corn Starters. The judges of the competition were Trishna Duarah Kalita, Madhurima Mahanto, Sunaiyna Hazarika, Sharadi Das, Rashi Verma and Shailja Goenka.

All the entries were very beautifully presented and were very delicious. The judges took 2 hours to judge the entries, keeping in mind the taste, presentation, recipe and originality.

In the Salad category, the winner of the first prize was Varsha Tibrewal, 2nd prize was won by Rakhi Birmiwal and 3rd prize went to Harshita Todi Goenka. Consolation prizes were won by Punita Chawla and Gunjan Saharia.

In the Corn Starters category, the first prize was won by Sanju Roy Chowdhury, 2nd prize was won by Varsha Tibrewal and 3rd prize was won by Punita Chawla. Consolation prizes were won by Binu Das Baruah & Priyam Kasera.

In the Mocktails category, Varsha Tibrewal won the first prize, Nikita Poddar won the 2nd prize and the 3rd prize was won by Kirti Garodia. In the Mango Pickle category, Malvika Saikia won the 1st prize, Binu Baruah won the 2nd prize and Jurima Chaliha won the 3rd prize. Madhumita Thakur & Sanju Roy Chowdhury won the consolation prizes.

In the Mango Sweet category, Khushbu Beriwal won the first prize, Suman Poddar won the 2nd prize and Sruti Bagrodia won the 3rd prize. Harshita Goenka & Dr Aditi Baruah won the Consolation prizes

In the Wraps & Rolls category, Sanju Roy Chowdhary won the first prize, Vanshika Mordani won the 2nd prize and Priyam Kasera won the 3rd prize. Consolation prizes were won by Varsha Tibrewal & Priyal Verma.

The president of the club Priti Karwa along with club secretary Anjali Moody, vice president Sarita Sahewal, treasurer Punita Chawla and club advisory member Suman Poddar said that they were very happy with the event which was highly praised by the members, participants and the guests.
