Dibrugarh Mohanbari Airport won the 'Best Decorated Airport Award' in I-Day Decoration

Dibrugarh: In a major achievement, the Dibrugarh Airport has won the Best Decorated Airport Award among category-III airports of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) for its eye-catching decoration on the occasion of the country's 73rd Independence Day this year.

On the other hand, Bihar’s Gaya airport won the second prize while Mysore and Bhopal airports jointly won the third prize in category-III segment.

It is to be noted that Dibrugarh Airport is located at Mohanbari, 15 km east of Dibrugarh town achieved the top position for its exceptional aviation theme, along with its beautiful Rangoli Design and impressive lighting of the terminal building.

Apart from that a small model of an 'Aircraft on the Runway' which was displayed at the airport to give an insight about the aviation world was one of the top attractions of the event.

It may also be mentioned that Trivandrum airport bagged the first prize in category-I segment while Vadodara Airport was the winner of category-II segment.
